The first ad that I chose is http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt A2KLqIAw2YBY6mgAuXs0nIlQ;_ylu X3oDMTByZWc0dGJtBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDdmlkBHZ0aWQDBGdwb3MDMQ–/RV 2/RE 1484868017/RO 11/RU http%3a%2f%2fvideo.foxnews.com%2fv%2f5123278995001%2fdid-trump-really-mock-reporters-disability%2f/RK 0/RS xH5MpEi5k7BLoyE8t_h1BTmvlOE- This ad is infamous as the one where Donald Trump attacks the disabled reporter. This shows ad hominem since he was attacking the being of the person and not the substance of their comments or arguments. The reporter has a bonafide medical issue. Donald Trump chose to make fun of him since he didn’t like the reporter or what he stood for or was trying to ask. While the ad did get the name Donald Trump remembered even more, I do not think it is a good type of ad to run because, as a voter, I want someone who can be aggressive when needed but compassionate when appropriate and making fun of someone who is disabled shows no compassion – definitely not the lesson I want my kids learning. Since it was run by his competitor, it is effective in showing the type of individual he is but I do not like attack ads at all. I think ads should tell me what you can do for me and not why the other options are no good.
